This is a very exciting 2 part class! In the first class, you work with Veronica Stewart, a working jewellery artist to create 3 fine silver pieces and a silver toggle. This class is at Veronica’s home studio. She will help you create and design your own bracelet pieces, which she will fire and polish and bring down to Aurea.  On the 2^nd class you will come to Aurea and add finishing polishes, as well you will receive a gift certificate for $ 20.00 towards your choice of stones to add to your bracelet.

Precious Metal Clay is a magical product that consists of very fine particles of pure silver that have been suspended in an organic non-toxic binder. After pre-finishing and drying, your projects are fired in a kiln.  The binder burns away leaving a 99.9% pure silver piece.

A simple and fun way to make unique silver pieces to incorporate into your next jewellery design.

Included in your class price are all the materials to do a silver ring with a Cubic Zirconium stone.  You will be taught how to set a stone and make a ring band.

In this exciting wire knitting class you work with Veronica Stewart, a working Victoria artist.  You can work with either gold filled or silver wire and are taught to incorporate pearls into your knitting project.

You will be supplied with a choice of lines of small pearls and wire.

It is highly recommended that you understand basic knitting.

CHAIN CLASS INFO SHEET

Dates:  Wednesday, October 13, 7 pm to 9 pm

Cost: $40.00   Includes 2 hours of instruction

The chain class is an exciting intermediate class designed to teach you how to insert beads and stones into chain. You can use as many stones, connectors and drops as you would like.

You will need:

Approximately 2 feet of chain, if shorter, you will need a clasp

Stones, inserts, drops and about 3 ft. of appropriate gauge wire

It is required that you have a good knowledge of wrapping and bring your own  round nose pliers, flat nose pliers and cutters.

Dates:  Sunday, September 26, 10 am to 12 noon.

Cost: $75.00. Includes 2 hours of instruction, pearl knotting cutters and tweezers, coordinating silk cord and $20.00 credit towards a line of pearls and a clasp.

Learn to string an elegant pearl bracelet using a traditional knotting method that places individual knots between each pearl.  Students will use silk thread, French wire and pearls & clasp of their own choosing.  The class will be taught by Cheryl Bevan-Gellor of Serenity Pearls.  Cheryl has a Graduate Pearls Diploma from the Gemological Institute of America in California and a Pearls and Bead Stringing Certificate from the GIA in New York.
